Meet Robin Murphy
President

Hi. I'm Robin Murphy. I started Maid Brigade in 1996 because I wasn’t satisfied with the housecleaning options available to me. As a working mother of a toddler, I simply couldn’t do it all myself. I didn’t expect it to be so hard to find cleaners I could trust, who showed up when they said they would, and who cleaned the way I wanted them to - which was carefully and thoroughly and paying special attention to the areas of my home that were important to my family.

That’s when I realized that I could do it better myself. Not by doing the actual cleaning, but by putting together an organization with professional, trained staff and high-quality cleaning tools that could meet my needs and expectations. I also wanted to ensure that the needs of other members of the community were met.

That's how it all began. Initially, we serviced a handful of towns in Northern Westchester, and eventually grew to serve the rest of Westchester as well as Putnam, Rockland, and Fairfield counties.

Early on, I recognized the dangers of common cleaning products and the importance of reducing exposure for the health of our hardworking cleaning staff, our clients and their possessions. I also recognized the dangers these products pose to the environment. As a result, Maid Brigade has been committed to using safe, environmentally-friendly cleaning products and tools - even before the term "green" entered common vernacular.

My dedication to Maid Brigade's mission of making the world a cleaner, healthier place is unwavering, and I also support that mission by partnering with organizations that help make a difference. Two such organizations that we think are very special are Support Connection, which provides free support services to women throughout Westchester, Putnam and nearby counties who are affected by breast and ovarian cancer; and Blythedale Children's Hospital, which diagnoses, treats and rehabilitates children with life-threatening and complex medical needs.

Prior to co-founding Maid Brigade, I was responsible for policy development in the Franchise Management department as Director of Acquirer Practices at MasterCard International.

My husband, Gary, and I have two terrific daughters and a dog, who give our family hands-on experience keeping our own home clean.

 Meet Gary Murphy
Director of All Things Dirty

Hi. I'm Gary Murphy, Director of All Things Dirty for Maid Brigade (aka Director of Operations).

I joined the company in 2003, and since then, I have overseen the company’s daily operations and developed Maid Brigade's business and growth strategies. My goal is to ensure that our company is best in its class by providing excellent service that meets or exceeds the expectations of our clients; being a good employer to our great staff; and by being a good corporate citizen.

Taking my wife, Robin's, commitment to safe cleaning to the next level, I orchestrated the transition of Maid Brigade into the only Green Clean Certified™ residential cleaning company in the region. This certification requires our adherence to a comprehensive cleaning program that includes green products, equipment and processes.

Robin and I feel strongly about giving back to our community, so we donate services to various organizations including Support Connection, Blythedale Children’s Hospital, local schools and other not-for-profit associations and groups. We especially appreciate having the opportunity to support organizations that are meaningful to our clients.

Before I joined Maid Brigade, I was Team Leader at Imperial Software Systems, where I oversaw the company's services for educational and government institutions in the United States, Caribbean, Canada and Ireland. I also oversaw statewide equipment installations and worked with Ireland's Department of Education to develop Irish software content.

Meet Eddie Cordero
General Manager

Hi. I’m Eddie Cordero, General Manager for Maid Brigade. I’m responsible for staff hiring, training and management and am fully committed to making sure that Maid Brigade provides the highest quality housecleaning to our clients.

Prior to joining Maid Brigade, I was Facilities Manager at the non-profit Per Scholas, Inc., which provides low-income families a computer and computer training at low or no cost. In that role, I analyzed office operations and procedures and developed ways to improve workflow efficiencies. I was also involved in planning personnel safety and plant protection activities. It was a privilege to lead the company in its ISO certification process. Now, I apply these environmental management systems and standards at Maid Brigade.

I received my degree in real estate from St. Johns University, New York, and live in The Bronx with my beautiful wife, Mildred.
