Ginger Simmons and Barbara Halaburda are the owners of thePhoenix, Arizona Maid Brigade. Ginger is originally from the sunshine state of Florida, but has lived in several different places over the years. When she’s not focused on green cleaning during office hours she enjoys cooking, fine dining, exercise and travel. Barbara is originally from New Jersey and moved to Arizona 16 years ago. You can find her reading, cooking, traveling or playing with her 5 dogs.
Both of these ladies worked in the insurance and financial services industry for many years prior to becoming Maid Brigade owners. After a shift in company direction, both decided they wanted to try something completely different than what they were used to. They figured that diving into a house cleaning service certainly fit the bill.
During this weakened economy Ginger and Barbara have made a conscious effort to grow as much as possible. Since they made that decision they are very proud to say that their office has shown steady gains over the past 18 months! They attribute this to all of their employees and reward them for the increase in revenue as well as quality.
Ginger and Barbara give to different charities throughout the year. They donate to a variety of both local and national non-profits, including the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Phoenix’s Walk to Empower and Healing Hearts Animal Rescue. The ladies will also be participating in the Maid Brigade Book Drive throughout the month of March. The books they collect will be donated to Chrysalis- a Phoenix-based non-profit serving women and children who’ve been victims of domestic violence.
