Meet Charlie-Bear! He’s a favorite fixture at the Maid Brigade of the Peninsula office. He also happens to be the beloved pet of owner Linda Hendrickson. Charlie-Bear comes to work with Linda every day. He gets along well with all of the employees and helps keep things running in tip top shape.
Not that Linda needs any help in this department! A California native with a degree in performance piano and engineering, Linda opened her local Maid Brigade in 2006. She wanted a change of pace and saw an opportunity to use her talents and fill the void between people who don’t have enough time on their hands and those who need work.
Linda is a great boss! Treating employees well is essential for her and team members respond with great loyalty. One employee recently celebrated her five year anniversary with Maid Brigade and more anniversaries are coming up soon! In addition to rewarding long-term employees, Maid Brigade of the Peninsula also offers Employee of the Month awards for team members who receive the highest number of happy customers. Last month four employees tied for the award and they all received gift certificates!
Maid Brigade of the Peninsula also cares about the local community. The office provides free cleanings for homeless shelters in the area, including Shelter Network, which operates several shelters in San Mateo County. In addition to the local community, Linda and her office support Dar al Kalima, a college located halfway around the world in Bethlehem. Dar al Kalima acts to encourage the Middle East peace process by providing education and a positive alternative for young people of all faiths.
