Dave Newland is the proud owner of Maid Brigade of Western Fairfax County, located in Sterling, Virginia as well as Maid Brigade of Leesburg, located in Leesburg, Virginia. Dave was born in Corning, NY and moved to Washington, D.C. fresh out of college. The Maid Brigade owner has a total of 4 children: 1 daughter who’s serving our country in the Air Force, a step-daughter attending the University of Virginia and a son and step-daughter who are both high school students. Dave is happily married to his wonderful wife, Linda, who works for Freddie Mac. You can find Dave and his green cleaning brigade at Green Cleaning and Home & Garden shows around the community.
While Dave was working for a local retailer, in charge of cost-sell operations, he decided that he was tired of the corporate grind. The retail industry was not doing so well at that time either so he began to look at possible business investments. Once he stumbled upon a Maid Brigade ad, he was sold!
The Maid Brigade owner thinks he’s fortunate for getting and keeping great people to work for his business. Dave has always felt that as an employer, his mission is to enhance and nurture everyone in his operation. He cares so much for his employees that he has been sponsoring people to work legally in this country for 15 years. Dave also knows and takes into consideration that everyone who works for him has children and families that are their first priority. In order to cater to this well-known fact he offers a flexible paid time off program which allows the employees to attend family functions, like their child’s recital or go to a doctor’s appointment.
Dave is proud to say that his offices haven’t had any turnover for a few years now and their average green cleaning maid has been with them for 6 years! Wendy Blevins is his General Manager and she has been with them for 15 years now.
