Maid Brigade of Central DuPage and Kane Counties is locally owned and operated by Andris Slokenbergs. Andris and his wife Rita live in the West Chicago area with their two sons. A native of New York, Andris is a proud first generation American; his parents’ immigrated to the United States from Riga, Latvia, following World War II. In his spare time Andris practices Taekwondo and enjoys spending time with his family, reading and watching science fiction and action movies.
Andris was attracted to Maid Brigade because it allowed him to be his own boss while still receiving the support from a national brand. He was also impressed with Maid Brigade’s commitment to green cleaning. In business since 2006, Maid Brigade of Central DuPage and Kane Counties has become one of the company’s premiere locations. All of Slokenbergs’ teams are supplied with Maid Brigade’s unique dry steam cleaning technology, VapurClean Advantage. Thanks to VCA, Maid Brigade customers’ homes are not only cleaned, but disinfected in a safe and chemical-free manner.
The office is also involved in the local community. Maid Brigade regularly provides free cleanings for Water Street Studios, a non-profit gallery/art center. Slokenbergs and his team members also offer free cleanings to women suffering from cancer through participation in the non-profit group, Cleaning for a Reason. This is a cause particularly close to Andris as several of his friends have been affected by cancer. Most recently, Maid Brigade of Central DuPage and Kane Counties hosted a book drive, collecting children’s books for Wheaton Family Center.
