The owner of the Maid Brigade of Charleston, South Carolina is Kershaw LeClercq. The Knoxville, TN native received his degree in economics from the University of Colorado, Boulder. He has 2 children and loves spending time with them and his lovely wife at the Mount Pleasant home. When he’s not at the Maid Brigade office he also enjoys playing the guitar and surfing at Folly Beach in his free time.
Kershaw was a trader of agricultural commodities before he became part of the Maid Brigade green cleaning family. He wanted to own his own business in order to work more directly with customers and employees and is now doing that by owning a Maid Brigade franchise. At the Charleston Green Fair Kershaw and his green cleaning team enjoyed getting to know more green-minded people in the community.
Yvonne Heyward is a perfect example of how Kershaw likes to reward great employees. She has just completed her 15th year at the Charleston Maid Brigade office and worked her way up from cleaning houses to now being in charge of field operations. She has been busy putting together a quality and customer bonus program for the spring and is said to be a crucial member of the Charleston green cleaning team. The office is also planning an office party and happy hour for when they reach their customer goals!
Not only is being a member of the Charleston community important to Kershaw, but so is giving back to that community. The Maid Brigade of Charleston gives to the Crisis Ministries, Big Brothers-Big Sisters, HALOS and the Lowcountry Park Trust. In 2010 they had a program where customers would make donations to Crisis Ministries and for every contribution made, the Charleston Maid Brigade office matched it. Kershaw also personally supports the Surfrider Foundation.
If you’re interested in having your home cleaned by the Charleston Maid Brigade team they service the Charleston, Goose Creek, Isle of Palms, Mount Pleasant, Sullivan’s Island, Summerville and West Ashley areas.
