According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the “Newborn Rock ‘n Play Sleeper” which is made from Fisher-Price, is being recalled after the company received hundreds of reports of mold growing between the seat cushion and frame of the infant seat.
More than 600 consumers complained to Fisher-Price about the mold problem, and at least 16 infants were treated for related medical concerns, mostly respiratory issues.
If you own a “Newborn Rock ‘n Play Sleeper,” look for mold spores under the seat cushion. Mold spores look like small black or dark brown spots.
