Flu season in the United States has arrived early and has hit many states pretty hard.
Normally, flu season doesn’t spread until late January or even February but this year it has already hit over 40 states.
Health Officials are reporting that the flu is the cause of death for 20 children so far.
The early flu season has also brought with it many other viruses, including a new norovirus (stomach flu) that causes vomiting and diarrhea.
Flu shots are recommended for everyone 6 months and older. Of the 20 children that have died, only two were fully vaccinated.
