On November 8 and 9 Maid Brigade exhibited at Co-op America’s Green Fest in Washington DC. Attendance was estimated at 20,000 people, coming from as far away as West Virginia and Pennsylvania and as near as DC proper to find green products and services to improve their environment, their health, or both. The Maid Brigade booth hosted thousands of visitors and gave hundreds of estimates for green maid service to consumers in the greater DC metro area.
Our green living expert and Maid Brigade spokesperson, Annie Bond, delivered a speech at the exhibition, laying out options for consumers interested in exploring green practices to protect their families at home and to protect the environment. Attendees took copious notes of her comments. Through numerous examples she made the point that, where there is a “green” option, it is healthier for us physically, more responsible for our environment, and improves our spiritual well-being.
It’s interesting….back in April of 2007 when we first launched our exclusive Green Clean Certifed(R) maid services some of our earliest customers called to ask what products we had used in their homes because their homes “felt so much better”. They meant this in both the literal and figurative (or spiritual) senses. Certainly customers who use us can feel better about the cleaning choice they are making for their families as well as the environment.
